After walking around Bar Harbor for a little while, I was drawn to this funky little restaurant with a bright blue awning. Once I talked to the owners, Mike and Monica, I knew 59 Cottage was the next stop on the tour! The only problem was that they were going to remodel the restaurant next seasons and the mural would be cut in half once the wainscoting was pulled out. The solution, remodel the corner of the restaurant in the next 3 days!
I’ve never seen such a fast response to get a wall prepped for one of our murals. They worked until 5am the morning of the installation, sanded down the wall and getting it primed.
The response was great! We had a steady flow of volunteers come through all day to add their mark.
On top of having and amazing installation day, I was able to try some of the food at 59 Cottage and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was some of the best meals I’ve ever had. If you are in Bar Harbor, there are 2 things you need to do. First, check out our funky flower mural (duh), and second, order the eggs benedict from 59 Cottage
